Training Update

Training is going well. I've been eating right, drinking more water, and working out each week. My trainer sees me once per week, but last week we went two times. I have learned some new things. My first lesson was Saturday when I was at the beach and reached for a drink from the cooler. Not thinking, I pulled out a coke and popped it open. About 15 minutes later, I felt like all the energy had been sucked out from my body. I was so tired, I had to go sit in the beach chair for 20 minutes. My trainer says that most people will be affected by a straight shot of sugar/insulin to the body like that, but for some reason, some people are more sensitive, and it sounds like I am one of those people. Knew that part, but now I know to stay far away from cokes! The second thing I learned was at the gym. We were doing a circuit for arms, when this old man started using the weights, too. We asked him if we could work in with him, but he kept getting in our way. Trainer tells me that while you are resting between sets, someone else can "work in" with you, meaning you take turns on the same machine. Simple gym etiquette. Then I went home and flexed my biceps in the mirror. Yeah, I got some biceps goin' on.. at least little ones.
