I am a Project Runway wannabe. I love that show. Every time I watch it, I get so inspired to do something creative that I start getting out my pen and paper to plan projects. Today, my project involves lowering the energy bill for the house. It's something i've been thinking on for a while. Considering that I now live in Florida where the sun is blazing at all hours of the day, even the smallest change is sure to add up. For the first time in my life, fans have become a daily thing. And now window treatments are important, too. Today I am looking at the windows and thinking of making some curtains. It won't happen anytime soon, but it's fun to think about. Tin foil has become a good friend, although I am still not sure about putting it up in the windows most seen by the street, etc. But the back of the house is fair game. I also get to kidnap my sewing machine and take it in for a check-up next month. It's been... well, a long time since I had it serviced and I am afraid of what the humidity of Florida has done to its insides. Then, I will be ready to rock out some sewing projects with my personal sewing tutor. I want to know all the techniques and possibilities of garment making. I am so wannabe fashion designer. Fun fun fun!
