I haven't posted in a long time. Life has been overwhelming in this great transition, and I feel that my posts may have edged on the negative or gloomy side of things. But this morning I woke up and felt positively amazing. I don't know how or why, but I decided to make today a very special day and enjoy what life has to offer. Of course that meant sitting down to look at recipes while I ate breakfast! Soon, I will go out and enjoy some sunshine and a short trip to the gym.
Many many changes happen when you transition from student to employee. In most cases, people do an intense round of courses and then go right into the work force; For me, an entire year of internship, which is a strange limbo of you are in charge but not in charge. Extended internships really force you to look at yourself and critique every angle, trying to exit the other side as the best clinician you can be. But it's tiring and stressful. Not to mention that I am nervous about job hunting.
Working out and eating right has helped balance out all this craziness. So have creative outlets like cooking, inspiration boards, and music. Life is full of choices, and I choose to be happy.
