Ghetto Sewing

Bought a neat new tool today. It punches eyelets in fabric. First, you hold the tool over where you want the eyelet and punch a hole in the fabric. Then, you place the metal eyelet and smash it flat. It's mad fun and made me want to start punching holes in everything around me. You can lace cord through and make things look all laced-up. I put eyelets in the 2nd druid bag (left) to make it drawstring. Just like sweatpants... The picture to the right is the shirt I made. It's from a teeshirt pattern thats too large for me (size 8 and im a size 3 or 4) but it fits the way I want and not too baggy, suprisingly. I havent done the collar facing, because im thinking about doing something different. The sleeves are to the elbow, I think. Anyway, i'm fusing a skirt pattern to the shirt, so there wont need to be a hem. We'll see how that experiment goes tomorrow...
