I am addicted to sewing blogs. The pictures above are from http://allsorts.typepad.com which is just one of many (see list at left) that I like to browse. Right now, I just kind of click on different links and explore a person's favorites list. You can see all kinds of ideas. The picture in the middle looks like a purse made out of cabbage. It's just green yarn crocheted. I love it! You could change up an accent like a sparkly broach, crochet tomatoes, or a flower and have a new purse everyday. These blogs are inspiration, but I will have to have the skills to actually make my ideas (and theirs) into reality. Today, I bought a sewing magazine for fun. It had an article about dress forms, so you know I had to get it. But the magazine was full of good hints for sewing. They show you how to do different bias cuts, different hems, and the top 10 tips for streamlining your sewing. Very cool. I'll update on the name of this magazine when I remember it.
